Phillips Maryland-Style Crab Salad

  • 1/3 C. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. red pepper, diced
  • 1/2 C. celery, diced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. red onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Phillips Seafood Seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp. hot sauce
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 lb. Phillips Jumbo Lump Crab Meat
    • Combine all ingredients, reserving Phillips Crab Meat, until well incorporated. Gently fold in the crab meat. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with crackers, as a sandwich or stuff tomatoes or green peppers with the salad.

I really prefer a simple crab salad like this with no ingredients that will mask the sweet flavor of the crab, just enhance it. This salad scooped up with crunchy raw vegetables or black pepper water crackers is the bomb. Sorry, not a real big fan of crab cakes, I'm always disappointed in the flavor and they're a lot of work! Don't bother, just put together this salad and enjoy. Love all seafood in its natural state with its flavor intact, no deep frying!

This sounds like the crab salad that I have gotten in the restaurant at BWI Airport. It is great. So delicious, light and refreshing. The CRAB is the star, and the other ingredients just set it off. They add great flavor and texture to this dish. I love it with some crackers, but I'm sure it is great with other things like croissants. Enjoy! PS: I wish they would have not changed the restaurant recipe. Please take out the shrimp, it is better with just crab.
