Anna Marie's Crab Meat Topped Tilapia

Ingredients

8 oz. Phillips lump crab meat
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 medium garlic clove, finely chopped
1 medium shallot, finely chopped
3 Tbsp. curly parsley, chopped
1/3 c. white cooking wine
2 Tilapia fillets
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. panko breadcrumbs
pinch salt & pepper
pinch smoked paprika
lemon wedges


Preparation Instructions

  1. Sauté garlic, shallot and parsley in butter for 3 - 4 minutes.
  2. Add the wine, reduce heat for two minutes.
  3. Add the crab meat and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Remove from the heat and fold in the lemon juice, parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Season the fillets with salt, pepper and smoked paprika.
  6. Top the fillets with the crab mixture and bake at 400°F on a lightly oiled baking pan for 12 - 14 minutes or longer, depending on the thickness.
  7. Broil the fillets on high for the last 2 minutes to get a nice crispy top.


Serving Suggestion

Serve with a wedge of lemon on the side.
